We welcomed them

but they stole our land, and our homes

This is a map

It is an archive of colonial destructive practices against the people & the land: acts of shredding, cutting, shrouding, tarring, erasing, breaking

It documents landscapes of Colonial Violence and Resistance

Rooting & uprooting, place & placelessness

The blue, A symbol of the alien, (Zionist expansionism), inserted into the local landscape, enmeshed in colonial and military forms of domination

The map is stitched by hand, repetitive mark making, a pattern, playing on the concept of the anti-familiar, anti-natural, anti-mimetic

The displacement of people and the transformation of the environment

This map uses colonial cartographic techniques, highlighting the use of “blank white space” to denote unknown territory, providing incentives for imperial and colonial powers to create ‘colonial spaces’

Terra Nullius: land belonging to no one

By using maps, colonists parceled out the world into various parts in order to express their control over those areas.

Creating Colonizable Land and Imaginaries of Empire

Colonialism is a very architectural project - the separation wall, the curving roads acting as defensive structures, the rings of houses which tactically use Israeli living rooms to surveil the valleys below, the physical domination of the landscape, the performative displays of Zionist ideology all along the path of the wall, the folds, deformations, stretches, wrinkles and bends

This work incorporates spectacular embroidery patterns from countries of the Levant, Bilad Al Sham

هذه الخريطة هي أرشيف للممارسات الاستعمارية المدمرة ضد الشعب والأرض: التقطيع و التفكيك والمحو والكسر

توثيق مظاهر العنف الإستعماري  والمقاومة

الأزرق، رمز الغريب ,(التوسع الصهيوني)، الذي تم إدخاله إلى الأرض، من خلال هيمنه استعماريه وعسكرية

الخريطة مخيطة يدويًا. علامات ، وأنماط تعبر عن إحساس معاداة المألوف ومعاداة الطبيعة

تهجير الناس وتحويل البيئة

تستخدم هذه الخريطة تقنيات رسم الخرائط الاستعمارية، و تركز على استخدام "المساحة البيضاء الفارغة" للإشارة إلى الأراضي غير المعروفة، هذه الطريقه في التوثيق أعطت حوافز للقوى الإمبريالية والاستعمارية لإنشاء "مساحات استعمارية"

Terra Nullius:

أرض لا تنتمي إلى أحد. أرض بلا شعب

خلق أرض قابلة للاستعمار وتخيلات الإمبراطورية

باستخدام الخرائط، قسم المستعمرون العالم إلى أجزاء مختلفة من أجل فرض سيطرتهم على تلك المناطق.

الاستعمار مشروع معماري للغاية - جدار الفصل، والطرق المنحنية التي تعمل كهياكل دفاعية، وحلقات المنازل التي تستخدم غرف المعيشة الإسرائيلية تكتيكيًا لمراقبة الوديان في الأسفل، وفرض الأيديولوجية الصهيونية على طول مسار الجدار، والثنيات والتشوهات والتمددات والتجاعيد والانحناءات
